Developer Update 2

Hello everyone! It has been over a month ever since the last developer update, and a LOT of things happened ever since. We have been working hard to bring you the best game that we can, and after some external testing we truly believe we have something special. Without further ado, let’s get to it.

We are excited to tell all you guys that the game has entered its balancing phase. What does it mean? It means that no big rule changes will happen and now it is time to check the numbers to make sure no class, or goblin, is overshadowing the other. This also means that the final prototype is ready to be printed and we are doing so as we speak. We are very excited to share some photos and start talking about the mechanics in depth.

Another good news is that we are also doing a lot of work in tabletop simulator and soon enough we will have a working build.

We also would like to thank guys for your feedback on our generals, we discussed it internally and ultimately, we agree with you. The difference in style is indeed a bit jarring and must be addressed. So, we sent them back to our artists and asked them for a new coat of paint, keeping in line with the same style as the others. In fact we already have some results. Take a look for yourself.

While we are laser focused in creating our board game, we also want to make Eldain a special place. We are not just creating a game, we are creating a world. A world where you can take your friends and go on adventures, that invites you to explore it further. To help us with such immersion, we will be partnering up with Orkestra Studios.

They will be working with us to bring Eldain to life by creating soundtracks for Goblin Uprising. The studio is composed of some industry veterans and have done a lot of amazing work for CMON and also videogames. I will leave a link at the end of the article for those of you that want to check it out. We are very excited to have them with us and we believe that, with their help, we can take this board game to the next level.

The next update we will be talking about mechanics and components, but for now, that is all. Creating this board game has been really tough, but now that we can see the finish line, we are glad to have accepted such challenge. Hopefully, you guys will enjoy the game as much as we do.
